Experience

After combat, players gain experience points based on the total destruction to both players multiplied by a % based on the difference of levels between players.

If the enemy's level is above your level:

XP = (enemy/your level) /20 * Total Fleet destroyed

(max: 10% * Total fleet destroyed)

If your level is above the enemy's level:

XP = (enemy/your level)^2 /20 * Total Fleet destroyed

Combat with NPCs:

XP = 5% * Total Fleet destroyed

The total combat experience points a player has does not directly measure how well they fight, it only means that they have been involved in more or larger battles, and against stronger opponents.

It works also as a small compensation for players that are fighting higher level players, and an incentive to players to fight players at their own level or even above.

Experience points can be spent on commanders.
